Call Of Duty : Black Ops trailer
Treyarch recently released a brand new trailer for their upcoming Call of Duty title -- Black Ops. The trailer showcased the great technical and graphical leap the developers have made from their previous COD title, World at War as well as giving glimpses of the exciting new gameplay that is in store forus.
The Trailer opens up with an explosion -- Treyarch wants to make sure it gets the message across straight away. The entire trailer exhibits some great shadow, particle and explosive effects. Also it’s confirmed that Treyarch is using a motion capture technology to capture accurate facial expressions such as the likes used in James Cameroon’s Avatar. A highly improved destructive environment is guaranteed as seen from chain guns rattling through the urban streets, Ships and houses going up in flames, helicopters crashing, RPGs, pyrotechnic shotgun shells, lethal crossbows and much more.
The game is supposedly set in the Cold War era and the players are expected to undertake several covert operations in Soviet Union, Cuba or engage in direct visceral action in the fields of South Vietnam or an Urban City. Hints of a Chemical Warfare has also been teased. Going with the previous iterations of the franchise, it is expected that the story would be engaging enough to guarantee a gripping experience with playthroughs from both sides of the belligerents of the Cold War.
Gameplay wise, Black Ops promises to be a treat with introduction of many new exciting features. New weapons such as Dragon’s Breath Shotgun shells and a lethal scoped Crossbow with explosive ammo have been featured. It’s also certain by the hints dropped in the trailer that the players will be in either full or semi control of an SR-71 Blackbird attack helicopter. The dismemberment feature, which greatly set the dark tone of World at War with blood and body parts flying as the bullet hit the flesh is seen in the trailer. Gore and violence has been notched up with great destructive playing throughout the trailer. Elements of stealth and full blown escape sequences are also present.
With dedicated servers for the PC Version, Create-a-Class 2.0 for appearance customization, Vehicles (Helicopters?) posing to return and no nukes or game-ending killstreaks, the multiplayer segment of the game is going to be an equal delight or perhaps more. Players can imagine themselves engaged for hours, blowing themselves with Crossbows or dog fighting in the skies with their blackbirds.
Overall from the trailer, it can be concluded that the game promises to be an epic action first person shooter. The previous versions of the COD have set up the benchmark for FPS gaming with high adrenaline action shooting and exciting multiplayer action. Black Ops, slated to be released on 9th November 2010, promises to mould into the same success formula and introduce even more features. With a highly destructive environment and a engaging storyline along with a arsenal of badass weaponry, Black Ops is poised to offer gamers with an highly engaging single player aswell as multiplayer gameplay experience.
